LIQUEFACTION AND SAN FRANCISCO (12/14/08)

All of Hunters Point Naval Shipyard is prone to very serious liquefaction. The United States Navy is fully aware of this fact - but has dubiously decided to keep this fact under the radar and convey the land as and when the Regulatory Agencies sign on the land and transfer it to the City and County of San Francisco.

Corrupt Representative such as Senator Diane Feinstein, Congressperson Nancy Pelosi, and Mayor Gavin Newsom - have plans to transfer the land to the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency (SFRA) - to foster greed and build homes on land that is prone to LIQUEFACTION. Some 10,500 homes, facilities and a stadium.

The SF Redevelopment Agency Commission has been stacked with crooks to do the Mayorıs bidding such as Richard Swig and Leroy King. The SFRA is a quasi-State agency that uses debt, loans, tax increment, and cheap land to make a fast buck.

I have thousands of photographs documenting the area around Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, the Candlestick Point, Bayview Hill, and the surrounding area. I have provided maps that clearly show areas that are landfill. I have also posted maps that show the serious impact of liquefaction.

I will post a document from the United States Geological Survey. The land is prone to liquefaction and those that play with Mother Nature will meet their death and destruction. The Big One is at hand. You just cannot build homes on land that is seriously prone to liquefaction and flood due to global warming.

You can take a horse to the edge of the water but you cannot force it to drink. Greedy developers are fully cognizant of the fact that large areas in and around are prone to liquefaction but all the same want to build thousands of homes. Much of this land is also prone to radiological elements - especially land on Hunters Point Naval Shipyard - where depleted Uranium was first tested.

It is a shame that greedy developers have decided to build homes without any meaningful dialog with the community. We have Samoans, Asians, Latinos, decent Blacks and Whites, Native Americans, others - and most of them are not fully aware of the planning, land zoning, and now the imposition of development without any detail community - input.

We, the community have not seen a Transportation Document. We have not seen a detail Environmental Impact Report; we have not seen an Economic Analysis - reflecting the current Economic Crisis that has affected our Nation and linked to the building of more then 10,500 homes in the area in question.

Thousands of homes are in fore-closure. Thousands of homes have been boarded up in near by areas a few miles north and south of San Francisco. We find it difficult to comprehend why 10,500 homes are being built - when there is no one willing to buy and less rent these units.

At the nearby Bayview Hill at Candlestick Point - good homes have remained vacant and no one wants to rent the units. There is no demand because most people have no money - due to the harsh economic times prevailing today.

In 1991 the Muwekma Ohlone exercised their Right of First Refusal on Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. The main purpose was to send a strong signal to the City and County of San Francisco about who really owns all of the land that the City and County of San Francisco purports it has jurisdiction. When, in fact the land was stolen from the Ohlone - the First People of San Francisco. I represent the First People and have made this statement several times at City Hall in Room 250 before the mostly inept, arrogant San Francisco Board of Supervisors.

The Muwekma Ohone desires that the whole of Hunters Point Naval Shipyard be cleaned to Residential Standards. This was mandated by Proposition P and passed by over eighty seven percent - in the year 2000.

Over 800 acres have been handed over to Lennar a Rogue Developer that has no intention to develop and build. This Rogue Company is into Land Banking - parceling the land - and selling it off. The Muwekma Ohlone state that it is against giving the land for free to this Rogue Developer that has a bad track record.

At Mare Island at Vallejo, California - Lennar failed to build 10,000 homes over a period of 10 years. Then it declared bankruptcy and left the Vallejo Council holding an empty bag. Lennar simply cannot be trusted. It has a very bad track record.

Lennar backed by Senator Diane Feinstein, Congressperson Nancy Pelosi, Mayor Gavin Newsom permits Lennar to build on land that is seriously prone to liquefaction and flooding - due to Global Warming.

No good will ever come at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. Once there stood two hills that contained the human remains of the Ohlone. The hills were demolished - the dirt from the hills and the remains of the Ohlone were spread all over the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. This desecration cries to heaven for justice and restitution. Aho.
